Artemis Preeshl

Artemis Preeshl is a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voice who coaches executives, actors, translators, interpreters, students, and lawyers in individual and group sessions. A Fulbright Senior Specialist in Theatre, Ms. Preeshl is a professional director, actor, dialect coach, and choreographer who worked at Tulane University, New Orleans, US, Loyola University, New Orleans, US, Utah State University, US, the Faculty of Creative and Artistic Technology at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, the Kalakshetra Foundation, India, and the University of Madras, India. She has taught voice and speech for 7 years at American universities and master classes in voice and speech in Kosovo, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Ukraine.

As President of Business and Professional Toastmasters, Ms. Preeshl organized executive committee meetings, coordinated speech and evaluation contests, mentored new members in leadership roles and speeches, and facilitated meetings. She served as Vice President of Education from 2014 to 2016. As Director of Louisiana’s Area 6 in, she enhanced public speaking and presentation skills, facilitated regional Toastmaster meetings, and led Area contests.

Last year, Ms. Preeshl gave speeches on Shakespeare and Italian comedy at the World Shakespeare Congress in London and the Asian Shakespeare Association in Delhi. This year, she assisted Catherine Fitzmaurice teach voice and speech at La Vos Humana in Havana, Cuba. As the Treasurer of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), Having  co-coordinated international conferences in Montreal and Chicago, Ms. Preeshl is co-coordinating VASTA’s international conference in Singapore in August 2017.

For Toastmasters, Ms. Preeshl shared secrets vocal variety to increase intelligibility in series of workshops in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans in her High Performance Leadership project this year. With a grant from the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, she coordinated New Orleans and Australian accent presentations with Australian Voice Teacher Jennifer Innes from Victoria College of the Arts (Melbourne) in Hammond and Grey to increase membership and community engagement. Having received Advanced Communicator Gold and Advanced Leadership Bronze awards this year, Ms. Preeshl will complete and Advanced Leadership Silver awards and receive the Distinguished Toastmaster award in 2017.
